We have arrived! (In Boston)
We landed in Boston around 5:45 California time this morning. Nicole made it through the entire flight without crying; what a trooper! Nicole didn’t sleep at all on the plane and I only slept about 2 hours. Chet; however, slept almost the entire trip and hit Boston with a hitch in his step.
We have checked into our hotel, changed clothes and are about to leave for our day in Boston. The plan: 2.5 mile Freedom Trail, Boston Commons and Fenway Park. We’ll update with pictures later.
Glad to hear you had an uneventful flight. Besides the wedding, will be able to see any sights in Boston?
The CHET POV – Episode I: Flight to Boston
Trip started off with me being on time and ready (for once) and Sheriff n Nic being late to pick me up! Ironic, don’t ya’think? Sheriff decided that on the trip to SF it’d be nice to scarf down a big, hearty burrito from Chipotle and it’d be be awesome to sit in our stomach for a all night plan trip. Felt so fat, thought JetBlue was going to charge me for the extra baggage I was bringing on the plane- that I call my stomach…
So the car ride from Sharon’s Mom’s house in SF to the airport was fun- full of stress and tension from the Howes – realizing they are REALLY leaving for a month!! Ha! And it culminated with them forgetting their spending cash in the car. Good thing I was there to pay for the entire trip- I’m a good person.
Gotta admit, I think Nicole did excellent on the plane! I was a little nervous she was going to make a run for the hatch door, throw it open at 20,000 feet and whip out a parachute! But a little Iron Chef Marathon on the jetBlue plane TV made things better. I on the other hand, LURVE flying and was happy to start the vacation! Which means half hour into the flight I was snoring like log in a saw factory.
Fastforward a few hours on the plane with a couple of Nicole interruptions of “CHET! We are over Nevada! CHET! We are over Wisconsin! CHET! We are over Hawaii!” (ok the last one was wrong but I didn’t have the heart to tell her…) Wiped the drool from my cheek, we landed safely in Boston and ready to start the day!
PS- I put my well honed planning skills to good use and said we should do the Freedom Trail, Fenway Park (or should i say, Fenway PaaaaahhhhhhkK) tour and Duck Boat Tour. Nicole’s idea was to do a tour of all the Dunkin’ Donuts in the tri-state area and I said we should multi-task and do it all!

SIDE NOTE: Sheriff and I were going up head to head in Fantasy Football battle of epic proportions and he tried to sabotage my team and send them into a downward spiral of chaos by stealing my iPhone and making edits. I thwarted his diabolical plan and his Fantasy Football nerves were demolished. Chet shall be victorious.
More to come…
Glad to see you’ve hijacked our blog. I’m not sure how accurate your entries are though! Hawaii? Rood.
