Correction…

We left out a very significant event from Monday’s blog “I’m on a boat”! Monday was Kevin’s mom’s birthday! This was the first time in 11 years for me, and many more I’m sure for Kevin, that we did not spend her birthday with her at the Harvest Fair! Mom, thanks for understanding that we love the birthday tradition and wish we could have been there with you…but a little something came up! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU! HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR MAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW! HAPPY BIRTDAY TO YOU! Before you freak out

The hotel in Austria has limited Internet and cell coverage. As a teaser we ended last night getting drunk with about 10 people from our group; including the 6 Canadians and our guide in a small hotel bar. Today we are off to a castle and luge. Hiya!

Hello everyone! I was just taking some time to reply to comments (my 10pm nap has screwed up my sleep schedule a bit for the night…a bad thing for me…possibly a good thing for you!) and thought I’d do a little blog post of my own! First of all I must thank Lightning for picking up our slack during Kevin’s bout of Montezumas. You are a true friend, and I am impressed with your ability to obtain photos we haven’t even posted yet! You really do work for the government, don’t you?! For those of you that haven’t got a clue what I’m talking about check out: http://www.jordangoesblogging.blogspot.com Today was an amazing day! If Kevin had to pick a day to be sick, yesterday was the right choice. I know he summed it all up...

We are here

The reason you didn’t get a blog post last night is because we came home from dinner and I started getting sick within 30 seconds. I spent more time over or on the can than I spent in bed. It continued into the AM and we are now sitting on a bus driving to Switzerland while I am hopped up on pepto, immodium, and Gatorade type fluids. Nic did write a blog and we will try to post tonight. Hang in there everyone. Hello out there?!

Just wanted to take a second to say thanks to all of our loyal readers! Shelly, Autie, Mom & Dad…you’re our #1 fans! Though, you are only 4 people, yet we receive at least 40 hits each and every day, sometimes upwards of 100! So, we want to know who else is out there? Stalkers, reveal yourselves! We just finished our last dinner in Paris. We walked to a neighborhood close by, picked a nice looking restaurant and had a great dinner. I had a very successful veggie dinner which consisted of mushroom risotto and a salad with roasted potatoes, roasted tomatoes, green beans, peas, cheese and a delicious vinaigrette to top it off. Mmmm. Kevin, on the other hand, had an appetizer platter of mixed cured meats with bread and butter followed by a steak with...

In the Chunnel

We’re on the train to Paris. We made the 11:30 train by the skin of our teeth! It was a lot like boarding an airplane, we had to go through security, had our passports stamped, went to our train gate, and voila, here we are! Kevin was thinking and bought us a window seat, what he didn’t know to request, however, was a seat that is facing forward! We’re making the 2.5 hour journey to Paris backwards! As I write this we are traveling through the “chunnel” which is the underwater tunnelĀ  that connects England and France. I’m trying to keep my mind off of the fact that we are down here, however, this isn’t working much, especially since the train just slowed down a lot. I’m feeling claustrophobic and a bit like I am...

A Long Day Of Travel

Last night (Sunday night) we drove from Naragansette back up to Boston so we could catch our 9am flights. I had booked a hotel in a Boston suburb that was only 2.6 miles from the airport…it took a while, but we finally found our hotel. It was smack dab in the middle of a residential neighborhood! I have to wonder, are things just different on the East Coast or is it that we just don’t pay that much attention to things when we’re at home!? After crawling into bed shortly after 2am we started our Monday at 6am with a wake up call and 2 alarms going off. We were out of our hotel by 6:30 and on our way to return our rental car. We were even able to squeeze in 2 minutes to drive by the beach just in time to see the sun rising over the water. It...

The Wedding

Well, today was the day that Aaron and Tina tied the knot. We spent the morning taking Aaron to breakfast then relaxing in the hotel room. It was a fairly uneventful morning until around 12:30 when we had to get 5 people ready for a wedding in a hotel room with 1 bathroom. Not an easy feat. The wedding went off with only a couple hitches; nothing major. We all ate, drank and danced the night away to celebrate their wedding. At 10:30 we headed back to Boston for 5 hours of sleep in an old apartment complex turned hotel out in the middle of knowhere in East Boston. 5 hours of sleep, 1 crazy shuttle ride, checked bags and security and we are sitting comfortably waiting for our flight to London.
