Hello out there?!
Just wanted to take a second to say thanks to all of our loyal readers! Shelly, Autie, Mom & Dad…you’re our #1 fans! Though, you are only 4 people, yet we receive at least 40 hits each and every day, sometimes upwards of 100! So, we want to know who else is out there? Stalkers, reveal yourselves! 
We just finished our last dinner in Paris. We walked to a neighborhood close by, picked a nice looking restaurant and had a great dinner. I had a very successful veggie dinner which consisted of mushroom risotto and a salad with roasted potatoes, roasted tomatoes, green beans, peas, cheese and a delicious vinaigrette to top it off. Mmmm. Kevin, on the other hand, had an appetizer platter of mixed cured meats with bread and butter followed by a steak with a mayonnaise sauce and french fries. I think he could feel his heart slowing while he ate! (Jordan, we thought of you, this meal was in your honor). We were going to take the metro back, but decided it would be better to walk off some of the cholesterol.
Now it is time to re-pack our bags for tomorrow we leave Paris and head to the wine region of France, Bueane (or something like that). But before we go, we have an appointment with Mona in the morning. Kevin and I have been dying to meet her.

ps. You inspired me, got out the old fancy 35mm to take some pictures….I have to say…love the lens, but hate that I only get 36 pictures and no idea how they are turning out til I develop them…this is going to be short lived….but fun anyhow…can’t wait to play with your camera!!

That is awesome that you busted out the film camera! I’ve never really used a film camera (other than a point and shoot). I can’t wait to see what you’ve done! Here is a hint, I just have my film put onto a disc now and don’t get any prints, or only one set, since everything is digital now days. Then you can e-mail the good ones if you want! It is a lot cheaper to just get a disc, especially at costco.

Just spent about an hour reading from london to the present. So cool. Love all the pictures, the london eye, ABBEY ROAD!!, the produce, the paris bike tour- that’s the way to do it, the arcitecutre (why creepy gargoyles on a church? why not angels or something? did they tell you?), the eiffel tower (Kev – love your picture with the eifel tower as a hat growing out of your head-loved it), the sculptures (I like the foot picture – our ancestors?), and holy cow all the famous impressionistic paintings – awesome. And oh man, the pastries and bread look delicious. Glad to here of good beer in London. Hows the wine in France? Music? – any street performers like in S.F.? Have fun with the tour group. I toured briefly with an older group too – they were a blast, and got crazier as the trip progressed. Keep the food reports coming. Have you taken any pics of your meals? sounds goofy, but why not.

D! Glad you could get caught up! We wondered if Shelly was giving you any screen time or if it was simply a “play by play” from the computer seat?! She cracks us up!!!
The gargoyles are on the churches for two reasons: 1. They scare off evil spirits. 2. They are drain spouts, so when it rains water comes rushing out of their mouths (can’t really have angels spewing water…though I guess you could call it holy water?!).
The foot picture…if that is YOUR ancestor…then something went terribly wrong somewhere along the way!
We didn’t really have much wine in France. We tasted some in Beaune, had a fabulous dinner with some red wine, but then…well…it was all downhill from there! I’d say, after tasting in Beaune, we’re pretty spoiled out there in Napa county. Nicholson Ranch on your way into Sonoma from Sac is still my favorite I think. You should take a ride out there with Shelly…it is delicious! Maybe we’ll meet you there when we get home!
We have taken some food pics but they’re on the small camera, otherwise known as the “bastard camera” which doesn’t get downloaded very often…so they’ll be coming eventually!

Ha, true. You all just sit around and “refresh” all day, eh?! I know some of the views are from Nana! I called her today and she didn’t answer with “hello!”. She answered with “HOW IS KEVIN?!?!?!?” in her angry/anxious Nana voice! She had read the blog! She told me she goes into the office every morning and checks it! Impressive. Damn impressive.

Important update: The Viennetta was a bit freezer burned! Bummer. Apparently I’m the only one who eats these things?!

Just re-read Shelly’s note…my thoughts exactly. Pretty sad indeed when the people responding to your blogs are blogging each other! Oh, are you having such a good time you cannot be bothered to share with us??? Love you both (and Shelly too) and truly hope you are having a wonderful time.
